| Pretty sure it was planned. This season is listed as sixteen episodes, which with those eight weeks missing would be exactly two cours. It's all in order to maintain perfect pacing for better quality of adaptation. White Fox is going 500 IQ move. |

| @Sigmar-Unberogen That kind of comparison is really dumb. It's like saying "why can't be every studio be like KyoAni" as if it's a simple and straightfoward as that. Frieren was a project deliberately given to a team that consistenly had some of the best freelancers in the industry, with a good enough schedule given by the committee, but that still had to face a few roadbloacks during it's production - such as Keiichiro Saito directing Bocchi even though Frieren was offered first -, and had to circumvent around that with multiple outsourced episodes and generally keeping more limited approaches so that the priority episodes could pop off. It was a good final product, but it was not a breeze to do. On the other hand, White Fox has been losing important staff in regards to both in-house members and valuable freelancers over the years, and even though there has been an attempt at in-house training that has worked well, they're still not in a perfect position, specially when they had to produce a 3-cour season of Re:Zero simultaneously with an on-going 3-cour adaptation of Sengoku Youko. It's not about "giving excuses", the industry is consistently terrible, making a series this long (specially if you want it to not crash) is way harder now than it was decades ago, and most studios are not capable of handling it. |

I'm saying that you can have high quality, long running shows (11+ episodes), like Frieren, without splitting it for whatever reasons. That's basically it. A statement this simple shouldn't warrant a reply to begin with. It's like me saying water is wet. There's nothing to discuss, it's a simple fact. Yet you still decided to reply thanks to your own stupid assumption that I meant this: "why can't be every studio be like KyoAni". You then elaborate on whatever reasons as if there was ever a need for it. People in this thread have been using excuses such as "staff needs to rest" or "it's done in order to ensure animation quality doesn't drop" etc. Their, and your excuses that White Fox couldn't do what Madhouse did, doesn't at all invalidate my statement that it can be done. Your "obvious facts" were meaningless, but you were apparently too stupid to realize this. Maybe now you understand?
