I agree, Ucchi has better pronunciation than most japanese people, with more practice he might become pretty good at it. Also, can I give him a shoulder massage? He must be stiff from carrying the whole industry

Ucchi's English is actually really good! (compared to others') Most of his grammars and pronunciations are on point, very minimal jp accent. And his english understanding is good too!👍

as a language learner i actually think ucchi's english was really impressive asuming he does not practice it regularly. he came up with the sentences quickly and most of them had proper grammar. he even knows uncommon words like "trip" or "softly".

Carmilia should've known she's playing with the two weakest seiyuus of the industry. No doubt they would be screaming "softly, softly!" 😂 And Ucchi and Tosshi duo is the best duo, in my opinion

Among Japanese, I’d say his English was quite good. Merely just my assumption, but perhaps he could survive if he went traveling in English-speaking countries.

This is the first time I hear Kouki-san speak in english. He’s actually good. The pronunciation, his L’s is actually better than other Japanese people. Just a little practice will make him fluent in english. 🤩🤩 I was smiling and laughing while watching the whole vid. 😂😂 I can imagine his expression when he asked her why does she have salt 1:32 😂😂😂😂

ucchi yelling "softly softly please" is truly messing with my mind hfidjdksj. this is such a fun ep!!! i also noticed that whenever ucchi is with toshi hes always laughing in a carefree way 😭 like hes so comfortable if it's toshi 😭
also im happy that ucchi got to play soccer! i remembered that one radio he did he said he really liked soccer 🤣

It's one thing to understand what someone is saying in a different language and respond to them. It's another to be able to translate back what the other person's saying back to your native tongue so your fellow seiyuu can understand too.
Kouki Uchiyama's proven himself fairly proficient with English. He even introduced himself in English to a Soul Eater con when he voiced Soul back in 2008! (Imagine being 16-17 and getting a main role in an anime after gaining traction as Roxas!)
Chiaki Omigawa (Maka) was with him (probably not understanding a word he was saying) so all she could do was "yay!" *peace signs*
But I wonder if he was nervous here. His voice is higher than usual!

i think at the massage part, ucchi was worried about overstepping Carmilia's boundaries? he said "セクハラ" (sekuhara) which iirc is the japanese term for s*xual h*r*ssment so he was worried that the word he was looking up in the dictionary was going to have a meaning similar to that 😅

I think that his English is actually pretty good for a japanese. This was fun haha and the Toyonaga help doesn't help at all lol hahahaha. Thanks for subbing this

If this was recorded in 2012, I wonder how much Ucchi has improved his English now? He's the second seiyuu I know who can communicate in English, the first was Murase Ayumu.

Ucchi went to Waseda University which is a private and well known Uni in Japan, quite hard to get into apparently. He's smart
