This year has been a busy year and we couldn’t be more pleased to finally see the fruits of our labors in bringing the 2016 Werewolf Calendar to life! I can’t believe I am saying that we are in our 9th year of making this wonderful calendar. What an honor and a privilege that there are so many wonderful people who celebrate and support our vision!

I also feel bad posting adverts for products so I wanted to tell you a little about what inspired this project and how we run it. The calendar was started by my friend Myenia, with a simple vision that while snarly werewolves were great and we loved them, there were those that also liked another vision of the werewolf that got a little bit less of the limelight. She wondered if others agreed and sure enough they did and the Werewolf Calendar was born.

But the more important aspect of the calendar history is the why. Werewolves and werewolf art are MEGA cool but the artists are the ones that fuel these creations and in the publishing world, the artists often get the short end of the stick with companies abusing, underpaying and certainly under-appreciating their talent.

The Werewolf Calendar set out to do things different, with 100% of the profits going back into the hands of those that created it. The core vision of the calendar was, in short, pay people to do some cool art for and from themselves that they otherwise may have not had a chance to do! We pick artists that share our enthusiasm for our particular flavor of werewolf and try our best to just let them go wild and inject as much of themselves into the art as possible. And to this day, we have honored that vision, with every dollar earned going right back into the hands of the artists that create and make the calendar possible with their inspired vision and hard work.

So please know that your support of the calendar goes right to the hands of these 13 crazy talented individuals that you see on the back spread of the calendar. The more calendars we sell, the better we can thank these wonderful individuals for making the calendar possible. (and of course remind them to paint more WEREWOLVES!)
