Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Five Nights at Freddy's 2, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. λ NegativeMP1 19:15, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise. I simply assumed that since the first title is split between 'Five Nights at Freddy's (video game)' and 'Five Nights at Freddy's (film)', it would only make sense for the sequel(s) to follow that pattern. Forgive me, this will not happen again. Shy Guy Mike (talk) 19:43, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about it; this is definitely a more complicated case. I think the main reason the first title is split is because the base title of Five Nights at Freddy's is about the full series, while it's not clear that the second film is more relevant than the second game.
Generally, you probably shouldn't be moving pages that aren't obviously in error until you have a good grasp of article title policy (the general rule is don't move a page on your own unless you're sure it'd be uncontroversial, otherwise take it to requested moves, which you can still do in this case if you think readers would be better served by there being a disambiguation page at the base title).
