Just make it so the site refuses to create a post if the only links contained in it are gofile. That way people are forced to mirror the file as well. Just have a warning popup when they try to submit, or disable the submit button all together.

I prefer Bunkr and pixhost. Gofile works but it doesn't work very long after uploaded. Megaupload is similar lots of dead links. Can't ban everything just suggest the better sites to use or ask for re uploads under comments. I will say bunkr works great on mobile but my anti virus on my PC blocks it. You'll have to add it to allowed sites.

As much i hate gofile i still think there is too little takedown resilient hosts.. i still preffer bunkr and jpg over gofile everyday but baning it would be dumb move.. if you ask me i'll implement ''mirroring policy'' like they do at SC incase someone doesn't want to move from their ''fav'' host in this case gofile

Plus no account registration or log-in required, no file size or quantity limit, has playback within the site AND it's free

Unless an alternative has ALL of those features, then gofile should remain an option

Like others have said, if you post a gofile link it must be accompanied with an alternative link. This forum is a graveyard of dead gofile links with no alternate links.

Actually after looking it up, I didn't know bunkr supposedly deletes inactive files also, after 30 days from last viewing.

I mostly upload MP3s which Bunkrr seems to have an issue with since I can’t share them on there while it’s fine for pictures and videos, I use gofile to share the audio files.

GoFile is my favorite to view content from and I've rarely run into an issue where a recent post with a GoFile link was missing content, unless it was an older post. Maybe for some of the "big names" but their stuff is everywhere so it doesn't matter all that much.

Bunkr is mostly ok as an alternative or for long term retention it seems but I HATE the ads and popups, even with an ad blocker on my phone's web browser it's still pretty obnoxious.

IceyFile has recently allowed users to upload without an account and files last forever if they're viewed or downloaded with in 30 days.

Best to require if using gofile they must also upload on another approved host.

Despite the fact links don't last long, you can download several files way faster than with bunkr, and that's a big plus for me..

EDIT: I do agree it'd be best to add an additional dl link for when the gofile ones get taken down and whatnot
